I am a total sucker when it comes to books and reading. I especially love a good motivational read. I love setting and conquering goals and it is no secret that when your mindset is right, you will win at life and with achieving your goals. For that reason, I wanted to create a must read books list for inspiration and motivation.
I love motivational reading and there are several books that I have read that have changed my life. I would also consider these books on my must read books list and this post is more of a continuation of that post. I try to read something motivational daily as it keeps my mindset right.
5 Absolute Must Read Books for Inspiration and Motivation
You can check out a list of my other favorite must read books by clicking here. The books I am going to mention are the ones I have read this year with the exception of the last book on the list. I actually read that one several years ago but it is amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity by Edwene Gaines
This book was recommended several times on a Podcast I listen to and I finally decided to go ahead and purchase the book to read. I literally finished it in a couple of days. Edwene is a captivating writer and it is a very easy read. You can read my full review on the book here. I read this book and decided to test out one of her theories before I quit my job. I bargained with God that if he really wanted me to quit my job that he needed to provide some cushion in our budget to do so. I didn’t really think that kind of stuff happened, but in our case it did. Even after writing my resignation letter months in advance, I was still skeptical, but everything just seemed to work out monetarily so I put in my notice ahead of schedule actually. I do still work as needed in case you are wondering, but I do not have regular work hours which has been nice for our family.
Basically, the book goes into detail about how you should tie spirituality to the things you desire most in your life. If you give the universe, you then open yourself up to recieve all of the great things that can come your way. It is an amazing book and I highly recommend this book. It definitely makes my must read books list!
The 10X Rule by Grant Cardone
This is another book I have heard rave reviews about and to be honest, it did not disappoint. If you have ever wondered how to take your life to the next level, this book will help you. Most of us have a fear of some kind that is holding us back, but not Grant Cardone. This guy is all about creating systems in order to magnify his life and business and he is all about thinking BIG. I love the idea of being able to think about how to really take my life to the next level. I have tons of goals and in order to really achieve them, I need to focus on them. This book definitely gives you a way to focus on your goals.
You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero
This is probably the funniest book I have read in a while and totally inspiring. This ranks at the top of my must read books list for sure! If I had to tell you about one book to read this year… this book would be it. Jen is a Life Coach, author and Badass herself who has really taken life by the you know what. Her writing style is unique and relatable but she gives very actionable steps on how and why you should push yourself to do the things you have always wanted to do. I LOVE THIS BOOK!
Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy
If you procrastinate, this book is for you. I have had a problem with putting things off from time to time and heard about this book from several people as they felt it was beneficial to really help motivate them to stop procrastinating. I plan to read this book again this year as I do think it is an awesome book! It makes my must read books list because it helps me think in terms of organizaiton with reaching my ultimate life goals.
The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch
This is the book I read several years ago and I still think about it. If you need a little motivation to really get you thinking that life is too short and you really need to get in gear and do what you need to do to reach your ultimate life goals, this book will help you do that. It is sad, endearing, inspiring and motivational all at the same time. Have a box of tissues ready.
