Looking for some fun and cheap fall date ideas? I love this list! It is awesome with some really creative date night ideas. #50 is really cool!

Fall.  Who doesn’t love the changing of the leaves, the cool night air and everything pumpkin.  Fall is such a beautiful season and another time of year to spend with lots of great outdoor ideas for dates.  The best part is…the dates don’t have to be expensive!  I love fall because the fall date ideas are so fun and make you feel like a kid again!

Cheap date ideas are my specialty.  I love coming up with fun and frugal ideas for dates and fun stuff because we have found that anytime we get to spend together we have a great time.  It really doesn’t matter what we are doing anymore.  We tend to like the little things and I hope you can find a few things on the list that you will love to do also.

Fun, Fabulous and Frugal Fall Date Ideas Under $15

  1. Campfire with mountain pies and s’mores– Fall is my favorite time of year for campfires!
  2. Make homemade pumpkin spice lattes and drink them outside in the cool night air
  3. Carve pumpkins.
  4. Decorate the house for fall
  5. Throw a Halloween party with homemade costumes (ghost anyone?)  Have everyone bring their own dish to pass and you come up with a dish also.  This can be done well under $5.  I started using $5 Meal Plan and I made this Baja salad which has black beans, tomatoes and avocado.  It was amazing!  I honestly cannot say enough good about $5 Meal Plan.  My meals are all planned for me now and emailed to me each week which has been a time saver for me.  If you want to start your 2 week free trial of $5 Meals, you can click my link to get started.
  6. Make a wreath for the front door.  Pinterest is my favorite place in the whole world for DIY.  There are tons of great DIY posts for wreath ideas.
  7. DIY a project around the house.  Depending on what you are looking to do, this may cost more than $15, but if may be worth it to get it done before winter hits.  I have a list of 10 easy DIY Home Décor Ideas if you are looking to get stuff done.
  8. Rake leaves and jump into them.  Carefully.  If you are as old as Greg and I, make sure there are a lot  of leaves and jump gracefully.
  9. Go hiking on a scenic trail
  10. Go for a walk in the park.  Still fun this time of year especially if there are beautiful trees around.
  11. Make a fun fall drink.  How about a  spiced rum cocktail?
  12. Go apple picking
  13. Make homemade applesauce
  14. Make pumpkin muffins.  (Yes my life revolves around food)
  15. Make chili in the crock pot and have a chili bar.  Invite over friends or neighborhood pals to join in the fun.  You can have everyone bring something for the chili bar.  This is a really cute example.
  16. Watch a football game and make your favorite appetizers for the game.
  17. Enjoy a nap together.  Sometimes you just need a nap.
  18. Bake an apple pie together.  Yes I know more food.
  19. Get out your camera or camera phone and have a fall mini photo session.  Or have a friend tag along to your favorite fall spot and take pictures of you guys.
  20. Picnic in the park.  Preferably one where you can crack open a bottle of wine. Include your favorite fall foods:  Apple pie, chili wine….that’s not just me right?

  25. Start writing out your Christmas list.  I know, maybe not sexy, but if you have a minute to talk, you can get stuff done.
  26. Wine tasting outdoors.  Visit a local winery and buy a bottle of wine and sit outdoors together.  Get dressed up and make it a formal event
  27. Make caramel apples
  28. Go to a fair
  29. Watch a scary movie together
  30. Come up with 50  things you like about the other person and make a date to go over it.  Go to the first place you met and make it really special.
  31. Create a date scavenger hunt.  Totally fun.  What are the first 3 places you went together?  If they are local, surprise your significant other by taking them to all 3 places in one night and tell them about a memory you shared there.  Go to the first place and figure out a way to give them a clue for the next place you will visit… like a scavenger hunt.  Have something special waiting at the third destination.
  32. Attend a fall wedding together.  Ok, this one depends on if you know someone who is getting married.  Don’t crash a wedding…  Fall weddings are beautiful!
  33. Make a new soup recipe.  Fall is all about soups and chili.  Try something new.  Pumpkin soup or butternut squash soup are great fall favorites.
  34. Challenge your spouse to a one on one football game.
  35. Go to a local dive bar and play darts or pool with beer in hand.  Indulge in a fall flavored beer.
  36. Have a fun fall wardrobe date.  You don’t have to buy anything.  Just go to a favorite store and try on the new “in” fashion and model for your significant other.
  37. Make hot chocolate and sit outside or walk the neighborhood.
  38. Go Christmas shopping.  Ok, so you may spend more than $15 here but if you are trying to get a head start on shopping, this isn’t a bad way to spend a date.  You could aim to spend less than $15 at lunch?  If you are looking for ways to make some extra money for the holidays,  you can check out survey sites like Harris Poll, SwagbucksNational Consumer Panel, RewardTV, Digital Voice.  You can learn more about these sites and how to make money from home using Survey Sites.  These sites are totally free to sign up to and a great way to make a little extra cash.
  39. Go through a corn maze
  40. Make a new fall dessert or snack and watch re-runs of your favorite show.  We love Shark Tank.
  41. Create your own backyard Fallapalooza.  Have games, food, and people over.  Everyone can bring a dish.  You can bob for apples, create a pumpkin carving contest, or make wreaths at the party.  Create a list of what the other couples should bring and challenge everybody to spend less than $15.
  42. Create a haunted house with other couples in the neighborhood.  Be creative with DIY here.
  43. Have a group date campfire and have each couple tell how they met and what keeps their marriage great.
  44.  Take a tour of a winery or a brewery.  Here are some of my favorite fall outfits!
  45. Check Groupon for great date ideas on sale in your area.  You may find a painting class you can take together or a local fall fest to attend.
  46. Run a 5K together just for fun.  Or you not if you don’t like to run…
  47. Pitch a tent in the backyard and listen to nature while reminiscing about the good old times.
  48. Clean up the yard.  I know, not glamorous but the feeling of getting things done around the house with your teammate is pretty cool.

I don’t want anyone to feel like living on a budget is hard or that it sucks.  There are plenty of things to do that really don’t cost a lot of money.  It is fun to be creative with date nights, stay under budget and just spend time with the person you love.  You can seriously have a blast just being together.  Try some of these and let me know which ones are your favorite.
