Have you ever had a goal you wanted to achieve, but life got in the way?…. yeah me too. Focusing on our goals has seems harder than ever because we are so well connected. For example- Have you ever been cleaning when all the sudden you get a text message or email notification and you stop to check it? Have you started to feel overwhelmed so you stop what you are doing and you grab your phone to check Facebook and see what everyone else is doing? Have you ever scanned Pinterest for an idea on how to get organized and you save it to a board, but you never take action? Yep…. I see you sister…. I wanted to do a roundup of some of the free weekly planner templates that may help you get more organized and feel less stressed throughout the week.
The weekly planner templates are for things that seem to stress most Moms out. For example, I hear a lot of moms say that they are stressed due to meal planning and cleaning. They also feel stressed about managing schedules for themselves and for their kids. I want to help you organize these aspects so you can focus on the goals you have, k?
I recently did a survey for my little blog and the struggles that were mentioned the most were:
- Not enough time
- Staying on track
- Feeling discouraged
- Time management
- Setting priorities
- Feeling distracted
- Feeling too overwhelmed
These same answers were repeated over and over again which was really helpful for me because I feel like I can break all of this down into ways to help you.
This post is going to be packed with all of the time management printables I have on my website and some new ones. The goal here is to help you get a handle on the everyday stuff so you can focus on your goals. If you are ready for the next step- how to focus on your goals, that post is coming very soon and I can’t wait to help with that! If you feel stressed about every day stuff, take a look at this post as it will help you set the foundation for the things that are usually the most stressful everyday.
Free Weekly Planner Template
A while back I started to take an hour on Sundays to organize a few things for the week to make me feel better and less stressed. My top 3 struggles are my schedule, my kids’ schedule and the dinner schedule. I started a weekly routine to get these 3 things organized and it helps my sanity so much. I have found that if I focus on my big 3…. the big 3 things that stress me out the most and get those things scheduled out for the week, things go much smoother and I can focus on the other goals I have that week. (Keep reading….. free printable below)
So for me, this is a time management thing. If I have these 3 things scheduled out, there is no guessing and I can literally forget about it for the week. I can take a look at my schedule and know what I need to do next and when my kids get home from school, they know what they need to do.
I can meal prep anything that needs prepped on Sunday and figure out what I will need to do each day for the meals I will make that week. Having my schedule planned out and my kids’ schedule planned out helps me organize my meal schedule and figure out what I will have time to make. So for days we have Tae Kwon Do, I may make something in the crock pot or InstaPot. Having these 3 things planned out literally takes so much stress away. What causes you the most stress? Plan those things out on Sunday and you will notice a huge amount of stress lifted.
Meal Planning Printables
There are several day to day things we have to deal with that can be stressful. Meal planning is a big one for most moms/women. We feel pressure to have an homemade meal on the table for dinner every night because of social media and Pinterest. Don’t buy into the need to be perfect. Feed your family and don’t stress about what others are doing. Just be you…k?
I have gotten good at planning meals by using this sheet below. I literally set the foundation for meal planning by writing down the meals that my family and I eat most often. It sounds super easy and silly but if you have meal ideas written down in one place, you can quickly grab the sheets of paper, go through them and write out 10 meals within minutes. It is literally that simple.
I think about what I have on hand and I can quickly make a grocery list if I don’t have something. This saves so much time and dinner is not as stressful for us. You can do this too.
Weekly Cleaning Schedule
I just laughed out loud when I typed weekly cleaning schedule….
I don’t clean every single week. You may think I’m gross and that’s ok. If I had to change anything, I would hire someone to clean for me. I despise cleaning, but I manage to get through it using the tips on this list. I try to take 5 minute intervals throughout the week and clean up when I can. I also take time on either Saturday or Sunday and clean bathrooms, mop the floors (ok my oldest son helps with this) and vacuum well. I do have a Shark Robot vacuum that I got for Christmas so he helps me out throughout the week (thanks Greg!).
Take the little bits of time when you don’t have anything planned and get a few things done. If you have 5 minutes, pick up around the living room, wipe down counters, put the dishes away from the dishwasher.
My house is not spotless at all, but it is picked up for the most part. If you find that you are overwhelmed by the amount of stuff you have, consider taking that as a sign that it is time to clean out your house and donate some items. You will feel so much better if you have less stuff to pick up and you will notice that you have a lot more time too!
Packed Lunches for Kids
I don’t know about you, but isn’t is stressful to pack lunches for your kids? Last year, I came up with a way to help me pack lunches faster and without too much effort. Here is what I did.
I created a list of lunch ideas that my kids will eat and wrote them out on a sheet. I keep that sheet in my meal planning binder and I reach for it when I buy groceries. I buy fruit and veggies each week anyways, but I make sure to have proteins they will eat by looking over the list. Sometimes I pack warm lunches using a thermos or I just pack a regular cold lunch, but it helps to have ideas ahead of time. If I plan out my kids’ lunches ahead of time while I meal plan, I don’t stress out about having to pack lunches. It works for me.

Well that wraps up the weekly planner templates I use to reduce the stress of the week. I hope they help you too. What stresses you out most about your week?
